Resolution rules
Each outcome is a separate contract with its own rules. The rules for Washington Capitals:
If Alex Tuch's next team is Washington Capitals before Nov 1, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes. If Alex Tuch officially retires before Nov 1, 2026 or is not on any team on Nov 1, 2026, "Retires / No Team" resolves to Yes. If Alex Tuch remains on the team they were on upon issuance on Nov 1, 2026, then the market for that team will resolve Yes. This event was issued before the June 30, 2026 amendment to the NEXTTEAM contract and is governed by the contract terms and event-specific rules applicable at issuance. For this event, extending or re-signing with the team the player was on at issuance does not, by itself, trigger early resolution, including re-signing after a period of restricted or unrestricted free agency. The amendment's provision treating such a free-agent signing as a resolution-triggering transaction does not apply. Any existing event-specific rules for remaining with a team at the stated deadline, retirement, or having no team continue to apply. Qualifying two-way contracts remain covered by the original terms.
